Here at Manchester Smiles, we’re committed to the health and well being of all our patients, and do our best to avoid extractions whenever possible.
Dr. Bottaro can relieve the painful symptoms you may experience due to damaged or infected roots in as little as one day at our office. He will efficiently perform a root canal, also known as endodontic treatment, that will have you back to normal and going about your daily business in no time at all.
Dr. Bottaro will perform endodontic treatment when there is inflammation inside a tooth that causes pain or discomfort. Some of the main causes of inflammation are deep decay, chipped or cracked teeth and trauma, which damage the pulp of the teeth. The procedure is simple and easy on the patient, and can be compared to getting a routine filling done. The inflamed roots and pulp of the infected tooth are removed, and then the inside of the tooth is cleaned and disinfected. Dr. Bottaro will then fill and seal the tooth with gutta percha, which is a material similar to rubber. You’ll have a crown or a filling placed on the tooth to restore proper function and natural appearance of your tooth.
Root canal treatment has a reputation for being a painful treatment. In reality, however, root canal treatment can often be completed with minimal discomfort thanks to advanced techniques, tools, and anesthesia. Dr. Bottaro and Dr. Patel, along with our entire dental team, works hard to provide you with a pleasant, comfortable experience each time you visit our office. To learn more about root canal treatment, we welcome you to contact us today. We are committed to restoring your smile’s health.
